02/10/07 - Colmek SBIR Submittals
Past - Future

In the past year Colmek has submitted two Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Papers regarding the following topics:

1. Development of a memory-based networking interface to be implemented over common memory shared among several processors. Currently only offered as a proprietary feature of the VxWorks real time operating system, Colmek has identified a need to provide this capability in the Linux environment.
2. A discussion of opportunities for data fusion relative to submarine modernization efforts.

Key Items:

• Improved overall safety in the submarine environment by providing the operator with maximum situation awareness
• Reductions of overall operations and support costs by alleviating manning needs aboard sub-sea vessels
• Improved battlefield performance in ocean environments such as littoral waters through accurate target recognition and enhanced situational assessment

Colmek is currently working on future SBIR papers for submittal.
