Jason Martin

Vice President, Product Engineering

Jason Martin came to the Coda Octopus Colmek engineering team in April of 2003 with a focus on software design, hardware review and selection, and legacy systems improvement. He manages software departmental design, allocates resources, provides employee training and review and develops code.

Mr. Martin brings with him extensive embedded systems design skills and understanding of processor architectures, as well as experience designing for FPGA and CPLD components using Verilog and Xilinx tools. He is proficient in a variety of software packages including the GNU compiler and tools, Matlab/Simulink, Xilinx ISE, TI Code Composer, Solidworks, and Mathematica and routinely programs in C++, C and various assembly languages.

He holds a BS in Computer Science from Utah State University and has several years of Electrical Engineering experience with the Center for Self Organizing and Intelligent Systems (CSOIS), developing software architectures for several classes of mobile robotic systems. Martin helped drive the design of electronic and mechanical systems of the robots produced by CSOIS.

Outside of work, Mr. Martin enjoys building car stereo systems, buying and selling things on eBay and designing contraptions.
