We are looking for a creative mechanical engineer who is driven to advance technology, resourceful, self-motivated, and uses sound judgement to provide solutions to design problems. The candidate would apply engineering principles with limited direction to design items including custom electronics enclosures, rugged miniature computers, underwater sonar components, and large rugged servers. Many of these designs will require unique solutions for heat removal.
The candidate will work with Solidworks in an exciting environment where the effects of their work can be seen directly. This is a great opportunity for a results oriented mechanical engineer who wants to be involved in a wide variety of interesting projects. We prefer to have an engineer with experience, but the selection criteria will weigh more heavily toward the engineer that can operate with minimal supervision and create a solution that is complete and can withstand technical scrutiny.
The candidate must be able to read and understand requirements, interact with other members of the technical staff, design and oversee fabrication of mechanical assemblies, perform engineering analyses, create production and assembly drawings, and participate in design reviews. The candidate should understand the overall product engineering process, from design kick-off to production; and must be capable of interacting with the various disciplines involved in production of a product.
Must be a US citizen.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or has demonstrated skills defined above
- Prefer 5 years in relevant industry experience
